In this continuing photo project by Beckie Kern, Victoria Kintner (ISO Second Violin) talks about staying connected with colleagues and the Teddy Bear Series during the past 14 months away from performing at Hilbert Circle Theatre.

“Like many, my life during the pandemic has consisted of a lot of time at home and many zoom visits. The second violins of the ISO have consistently met on zoom once a week. It has been a wonderful way to stay connected since we are located all over the world at this point. However, out physical distance hasn't kept us from completing musical projects together. I'm continually amazed at my colleagues many talents and their ability to keep the music going.

I've not only missed playing music live with my colleagues in our hall but I've also dearly missed the Teddy Bear Series performances at the libraries. During the last year, I've partnered with the Indianapolis Public Library and produced four Teddy Bear videos for their website. It's been a delightful creative challenge to put the programs into digital form. My ISO colleagues have offered their talents as musicians in addition to being helpful, patient, and resourceful. There's been quite a learning curve! Having the extra time this past year, I've also been able to polish my five Teddy Bear stories by working remotely with children's book author, Lisa Wheeler.”
